Who is SMART?

SMART, a Southern Michigan Adventure Racing Team, is the race organizer for “The Blast”. The members of SMART started adventure racing in 2002 and have been racing under the team name of Shooters since 2003. In 2007, we became a part of GLTeams and volunteered at races put on by Watters Performance and Infittera Sports.

After several years of racing together and volunteering at races, Team Shooters decided to put on their own race. We became SMARTBlast, LLC and started planning the first urban adventure race in southeastern Michigan.

Gary, Andrea and Marcia (as pictured below) are bringing “The Blast” to Pontiac, Michigan in May 2008.
